A Dog-Friendly Picnic in Denver City Park

Under the dappled trees of Denver’s City Park, Christine and Gil celebrated a special occasion along with their beloved pup, Boogie (who has quite the Instagram following!). And how gorgeous is this set-up from the Denver Picnic Co.? I  couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening with such a sweet family.

Tell me about Boogie. How old is he? What’s his personality like? How does Boogie fit into your family/lifestyle?

Boogie is a goofy almost-three year old sheepadoodle who brings us joy every day. He is super loving, very silly, and pretty shy with new people. In these pandemic days, Boogie is with us pretty much all the time. He keeps us smiling as we work from home, gives us an extra reason to get outside, and loves to join us on our weekend adventures.

What prompted you to schedule a photo session with Boogie? 

My sister gave us the session as a gift. She knows we love family photos, and after moving from Boston to Colorado we hadn't found 'our photographer' here yet. We are so glad she found Allison Mae.

How was your session experience? 

It was perfect. Allison was great from scheduling to photo delivery. She made sure we knew what to expect at each phase, and she helped us plan our picnic so we could enjoy it + have pretty pictures to remember it by (Boogie's "cupcake" was her idea!). We especially appreciated how good she was with Boogie during the shoot-- let's just say her big camera lenses might have seemed a bit scary to him at first.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?

On top of all of that, the pictures were amazing. We are already thinking up our next session with Allison.
